I bought these to test at our club because of the current problems with getting lead pellet. Having heard horror stories in the past about non-lead pellets I wasn't expecting much, but was surprised. I first tested them in my nearly new Brocock Bantam Sniper HR after re-zeroing at 20M with JSB Heavies. The first 5 or 6 shots with the copper pellets landed exactly in the same place as the JSB's without any problem. The next couple were flyers, but only about 6-7mm away from the initial group. The last 2 were back on zero. I also chrono'd them and got a low figure of about 10ftlb, where the rifle is usually running at about 11.4.
I next tested them in a Umarex CO2 Winchester carbine (the one with the 8 round rotary mag). Again I was amazed. Whilst the first 5 or 6 shots were quite scattered (this rifle only has a red dot sight fitted), once it had settled down I was putting quite a few shots in a 1in circle without any problem. I also tried them in a Webley Mk VI CO2 pistol. Basically the pistol being smooth bore didn't like them and even at 6M was inconsistant.
My thought; as a lead substitute they are not bad indoors at up to 25M in a rifled barrel. At longer distances I cannot comment, but weighing in at about 9.9 grains they are not lightweight, so should be OK out to longer ranges.
